Protect Your Data

|

What happens with your data?

When you install an app, it often asks for access to your contacts, camera, or location. This data is stored on servers and can be shared with other companies. AI apps even save everything you write to them.

Recognizing hidden data collection

Watch for these warning signs: the app wants access to things it doesn't need. A calculator wants your contacts? Suspicious! Check the app permissions and think: does this app really need what it's asking for?

How to protect your privacy

Only give apps the permissions they truly need. Use nicknames instead of your real name in AI chats. Regularly delete chat history with AIs. And never upload photos of yourself or your family to AI apps.

Kilumi sagt:

Detective Tip: In the EU, there's the GDPR — a law that protects your data. Children under 16 need parental consent to use apps that collect data.
