How KI-LUMI works

KI-LUMI is a learning platform for children and teenagers about Artificial Intelligence. There are two learning modes: Kilumi Kids (ages 7–11) with simple explanations and a playful approach, and Kilumi Smart (ages 12–16) with deeper content and technical terms. You can switch between modes at any time using the toggle in the top right corner. The learning path consists of 6 chapters that build on each other. At the end, a finale quiz and a certificate await you.

Games & Quiz

There are 7 different games that teach you AI concepts through play: Pattern Recognition, AI Trainer, Human or AI, Data Detective, Word Prediction, Sort Challenge, and Kilumi's Ocean Adventure. Each game explains what you learned about AI at the end. The quiz consists of 6 chapters with 3–4 questions each. Complete all chapters to unlock the grand finale.

Chat with Kilumi

In the chat, you can ask Kilumi anything — from AI topics to animals to math problems. Kilumi adjusts responses based on your selected mode (Kids or Smart). You can also create images: Just type 'Create a picture of...' and Kilumi will draw it for you. There is a daily limit for questions and images.

AI Safety

In the AI Safety section, you'll learn about the most important dangers when using AI. There are 7 cases covering topics like deepfakes, fake online friends, data privacy, cyberbullying, online scams, addiction, and misinformation. After completing all 7 cases, you can take the detective test and earn your AI Detective badge.

Frequently Asked Questions

My progress is gone — what should I do?

Your progress is stored locally in your browser. If you clear your browsing history or cookies, it will be lost. Unfortunately, it cannot be recovered.

How do I switch between Kids and Smart?

Use the toggle in the top right corner of the header. You can switch between modes at any time. Your progress is stored separately for each mode.

Why can't I start a chapter?

Chapters build on each other. You must complete the previous chapter before the next one is unlocked.

How many images can I create per day?

The image limit is set by us and renews automatically every day. Currently, you can create several images per day.

Is my data stored?

No. We do not store any personal data. Your learning progress is only stored locally in your browser and never leaves your device. Chat messages are not logged.
